Community Based Supports (CBS) provides intensive Wraparound services- case management and clinical services to children, adolescents, and their families throughout Chittenden County.
Primary components of CBS are clinical case management, community skills integration, medication management, therapy, therapeutic foster care (when indicated), and crisis response services. Staff help coordinate treatment with parents, foster parents, schools, child welfare, and other local mental health agencies.
Treatment plans are individualized and driven by the youth, family, and providers, with clearly identified treatment goals.
CBS staff is knowledgeable in and committed to continuing education in the areas of trauma, depression, anxiety, and family systems. Staff use diversified approaches to working with youth and families, provide trauma informed care, and incorporate alternative ways of self-expression through exercise, art, nature, and nutrition education. We strive to support youth in developing a healthy identity, positive familial and peer relationships, and emotional regulation skills.
