NFI is a leader in statewide training and consultation. Each year we help social service providers, educators, and caregivers both locally and statewide, to gain the knowledge, resources, and skills necessary to serve children, youth and their families who have experienced trauma, emotional disturbances and/or intense dysregulation.

Trainings may be suited for small or large groups, in–person and/or recently developed for online meeting/conference platforms. We provide part and full day trainings; while emphasizing an on-going consultation partnership to ensure the best implementation of new practices.

NFI is committed to bringing local, national, and international mental health experts to Vermont. NFI hosts community day-long learning opportunities with these skilled presenters. Such presenters have included Bruce Perry, Bessel van der Kolk, Dan Siegel, Alice Lieberman, and Ken Hardy.
