The Arlington School is a Vermont approved independent school for students in grades 8-12 who need an alternative setting to traditional high school and may require therapeutic support. The school community recognizes individual strengths and celebrates differences in a positive learning environment. Students and staff work together to create a trusting community focusing on mutual respect. Students are encouraged to increase their growing independence with opportunities for responsible decision making. Curriculum is process-oriented, project-based and experiential in nature. Courses are designed to challenge the individual learning needs of all students.

Our program also supports all students with a vocational program that helps them plan for after high school experiences, whether it is post-secondary options or work opportunities. Students are encouraged to develop a career plan and participate in Vermont’s dual enrollment program.
