St. Albans Community Alternative Program

The NFI St.Albans team serves multiple populations and agencies in the Franklin/Grand Isle communities. All of our services strive to be family focused, collaborative, and highly individualized. All of our services are trauma-informed and prioritize building relationships to promote safety, development and change.

The Wrap program is a family wrap around service. The Wrap team offers intensive clinical services to families to maintain the child in their current home and community. These supports range from 24-hour crisis services, case management, community integration, diagnosis and assessment, individual plans of care as well as therapeutic home placement and respite services. This program works with children in biological, adoptive, and foster homes to develop and maintain safe environments to grow and develop.

Second, we hold the Children and Family Supports contract with the Department of Children and Families (DCF) in our counties. We work closely with DCF to provide a menu of services to families that are engaged with the department, including Family Time Coaching, Community Skills support, Family Safety Planning and Family Group Conferencing to name a few.

Third, NFI St. Albans offers Juvenile Justice services that include Street Checking, Restorative Justice panels and community service support. These services offer individualized support to children and their families to promote successful completion of probation requirements and lower recidivism rates in our community.

Fourth, we contract with the State to provide Post-Adoption services in the Northwest region of the state. These supports are offered to post-adoptive families to help them understand the unique and sometimes challenging family dynamics that come with adoption of high-needs children. This is achieved through case management, crisis support and respite services.

Finally, we contract with the Agency of Human Services to provide Service Coordination.  This supports families that have uniquely challenging circumstances that impact their housing, safety, and basic needs being meet.
